The Leslie tartan has two clear identities. Red Modern features a red base, with blue and yellow overcheck, creating a classic, ceremonial look. Green Modern has a dark green and blue base, with red and white crossed lines, for a more subtle, stately look. Similarly to other tartans, its Ancient, and Weathered versions also offer different intensities of tone and contrast. The tartan belongs to Clan Leslie, a Lowland family of Hungarian origin that settled in Aberdeenshire.
