Our newest tartan, Noble Pride, is part of the ‘Pride of Scotland’ range, which is exclusively available at McCalls. Taking inspiration from the very heart of Scotland's landscapes and heritage, including lochs and peatlands, it consists of a deep green base, accented with different tones of green, blue, burgundy and yellow stripes, which produces a balanced and traditional design, more commonly known as a sett. A sett refers to the specific sequence of coloured threads, which form the repeating pattern in a tartan, thus defining its unique visual identity. Unlike a vast majority of tartans, Noble Pride it is not associated with a specific Clan or region, but was created by McCalls as a universal design, to reflect the pride of the nation. As such, it is available to be worn by anyone who wishes to express a connection to the steeped heritage of Scotland.
